Marketing Coordinator’s Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator (MC) implements marketing and advertising campaigns; prepares marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; works with the Director of Office of International Affairs and Coordinator of Faculty Recruitment to update presentations, brochures, website and email campaigns. MC supervises and leads monthly goal setting meetings for the film producer and social media coordinator and communicates results to the team and supervisors monthly.


  • Masters Degree or 4+ years of marketing experience required.
  • Skills Required: Direct Marketing, Market Segmentation, Marketing Research, Coordination, Project Management, Reporting Research Results, Understanding the Customer, Process Improvement, Initiative, Planning, Financial Skills
  • Preference given to those with international experience, have a history of being a role-model to students, and are patient and flexible when cultural differences create tension or strain.
  • New employees need to be between 20-59 years old

Marketing Coordinator’s Core Responsibilities:

Work 15 hours/week at Marketing Coordinator and 15 hours a week as Business Teacher.

Marketing Coordinator:

  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns; prepare marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; work with Director of Office of International Affairs and Coordinator of Faculty Recruitment to update presentations.
  • Philosophy of marketing currently is currently influenced by StoryBrand. Following this strategy will be expected for the first year of employment.
  • Set-up and improve automation of inquiries, applications, on-boarding new staff and referring applicants to partner schools. (software used: ZOHO Recruit, Privy, SendInBlue, Zapier, etc)
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with Sias News Center; inventorying stock; placing orders.
  • Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  • Improve website performance: SEO, speed, mobile friendly, collecting contact info, content, site-structure, lower bounce rates.
  • Monitors budget for Social Media Marketing and equipment needs of Film Producer and Social Media Coordinator by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Working with contracted web designer for major changes to WordPress site. Small changes completed by MC.
  • Lead monthly goal setting meetings for the marketing team and communicating results to the team and supervisors monthly.
  • Supervise Film Producer (budgets, equipment purchases, writing emails and video descriptions to promote the AIA YouTube channel)
  • Supervise Social Media Coordinator (quality, growth, engagement, etc) who supervises the AIA Social Media Ambassadors (content, engagement)
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (Marketing School Podcast, Social Media Examiner, etc).

Business Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Teach 3 classes. Each class is two 50 minute periods. 1 office hour per week.
  • Prefer that teachers have 4+ years work experience in the subject matter taught.
  • Teaching experience not required, but it is preferred

Faculty Demographics:

We have 130 foreign faculty teachers and 11 Foreign Administrators and 50 dependents (children and non-working spouses). 22 Families, 10 couples without children and about 70 single teachers. 80% of foreign communities are Americans and the rest are Canadian, Filipino, Indian, Jamaican, Hong Kong, Russian, Japanese, Mexican, Korean and German.
